8 Ways To Keep Your Real Estate Content Ideas Fresh

December 17, 20245 min read

Staying consistent with content is a challenge—especially in real estate, where agents are constantly juggling client demands, market updates, and prospecting.

But the reality is that consistently posting high-quality content is one of the best ways to engage your audience, build your brand, and attract new leads!

If you’ve ever found yourself staring at a blank screen, wondering what to post next, here are eight strategies that I like to use to consistently generate a flow of new content ideas.

Whenever inspiration strikes, I like to add my ideas to a Google doc, or a note on my phone so that whenever it’s time to create content, I have a long, running list of ideas I can pull from!

1. Tap into Pinterest for Inspiration

Pinterest is a treasure trove of visual ideas, making it a perfect resource for Realtors looking to spark new ideas. From home decor trends and renovation tips to neighborhood guides and real estate humor, Pinterest has it all.

Browse topics related to real estate, community features, or staging tips, and you’ll quickly find inspiration to fuel your content calendar!

📌 Pro Tip: Pinterest isn’t just for finding ideas—it’s also a fantastic way to drive traffic to your website or lead magnets. Try creating Pinterest boards around niche topics like “Staging Tips for Sellers” or “Best Neighborhoods in [Your City].”

2. Use My 30-Day Social Media Blitz

A 30-day content plan can be a lifesaver if you’re struggling with consistency. My 30-Day Social Media Blitz provides 30 top-performing real estate posts that you can easily replicate or use as inspiration for your own content. By having a month of proven ideas ready to go, you can skip the guesswork and start posting consistently right away.

3. Get Inspiration from Your Audience’s Questions

Some of your best content ideas will come from the people you’re already serving—your followers and clients. Pay attention to the common questions people ask in your DMs, at open houses, or during showings. For example, if multiple clients ask about financing options, create a post or video explaining mortgage basics.

Answering these real-life questions builds credibility and engagement because your audience sees you as an expert who understands their concerns.

4. Check Out Content Memberships

If you’re looking for a convenient, time-saving option, joining a real estate content membership like BAMx and Coffee & Contracts can provide you with fresh, done-for-you content. These memberships offer customizable templates, post ideas, captions, and graphics that keep your feed engaging and on-trend.

5. Analyze Your Competition

Your competition can be an excellent source of inspiration. Take a look at other real estate agents’ profiles—especially those with high engagement rates—and see what’s working for them. Look at their highest-performing posts, check the comments for questions or ideas, and think about ways to adapt similar topics in your own unique voice.

Remember: Draw inspiration, but don’t copy directly. Recreate, adapt, and personalize the content to make it fit your brand, style, and most importantly, your own voice!

6. Use Answer The Public

Answer The Public is a free tool (at least for a few searches)  that lets you see popular search queries based on keywords! It can be a great way to get a good feel for what consumers are googling in relation to a keyword

For example, if you type in “buying a home,” the tool will show you a list of related search queries that people are Googling!

This is really helpful for creating content around topics that people are actively searching for, increasing the likelihood that your content will resonate with your audience, and be shown more frequently depending on the platform.

📌 Pro Tip: If you end up making short-form videos answering questions that you found on Answer the Public, I highly encourage you to post them to YouTube Shorts. YouTube videos are often shown in Google Search results, so if you do this well, you may be able to get some great views by landing among the first pages of Google!

7. Research Trends on TikTok

Trends on TikTok often appear on Instagram a few weeks later, so if you want to stay ahead of the curve, TikTok is the place to be. Browse real estate-related hashtags, or check out what’s trending within the broader “finance” or “home” niches for content ideas you can recreate on Instagram.

📌Pro Tip: Use the Chrome extension Sort for TikTok to sort content by popularity, helping you find top-ranked posts in your niche. This makes it easy to identify high-performing content you can adapt for your own platform.

8. Repurpose Your Own Content (With ChatGPT!)

Don’t forget to revisit your own top-performing posts! Go through your Instagram insights to see which content has resonated most with your audience in the past. From there, you can repost or reformat these ideas with a fresh twist.

For even more variety, copy the text from one of your top posts, paste it into ChatGPT, and ask for 5+ variations on the same topic. ChatGPT can provide scripts, captions, or bullet points that make it easy to create similar posts without reinventing the wheel.

With these eight strategies, you can develop a steady stream of ideas and stay consistent with your real estate content. Whether it’s pulling inspiration from your audience’s questions or using tools like ChatGPT to generate new variations, there’s always a way to keep your content fresh and engaging.

By consistently posting valuable, relevant content, you’ll not only boost your online presence but also build stronger relationships with your audience. So, dive in, test these methods, and start filling up your content calendar with ease!
